VDC, a leading industrial technology research authority, has shared that it is conducting a project about the digital transformation of ocean ports. The report will examine the challenges and priorities that drive leaders at port/marine terminals to make key technology investments.

The last three years have been challenging across the supply chain, but have also led to greater adoption of new technologies within port environments, leading to new automated terminals, advanced connectivity, and new data tracking capabilities. Ports, which in years past lagged behind other industries in their technological advancement, are experiencing a sea change: ports around the world are seeking to streamline processes, promote interoperability, capture large pools of data, and meet ever-growing demands on speed and efficiency.
