The new MSC 50 magnetic speed controller regulates the speed of boxes and plastic trays traveling on gravity roller conveyors and spirals or the end sections of sorters. Suitable for handling goods weighing between 1 and 77 pounds, the device ensures lightweight packages move smoothly while limiting the speed of heavy goods traveling along the conveyor, preventing product damage. It features a maintenance-free eddy current brake that provides bidirectional braking—so it cannot be mounted incorrectly—while double shielding prevents magnetic emissions. Engineered for a maximum infeed speed of 500 feet per minute, the controller works in an ambient temperature range of 41°F to 104°F and comes in roller lengths of 8.26 to 55.1 inches.
