Cognex Corporation: DataMan Bar Code Readers

To prevent damage to electrostatic discharge (ESD) sensitive components, a new line of DataMan bar code readers is offered in fixed-mount and corded handheld styles.

The readers feature ESD-safe plastic enclosure part housings that prevent the flow of static electricity between objects. They also incorporate an antistatic coating on all optical parts.

The fixed-mount models use patented 1D and 2D code reading algorithms to read challenging and degraded codes; the corded units reliably decode challenging 2D direct part mark codes as well as 1D bar codes.
