- Mobility – Engineered for personal portability, xDIM enables dimensioning anywhere by bringing the dimensioning to the items, eliminating the need to transport items to-and-from a fixed measuring station. xDIM saves more than 50% of time required to fetch items to bring to a fixed dimensioner and then return them to their original location.
- Data Accuracy – Items too bulky or unwieldy for fixed systems often require the use of a tape measure and pen-and-paper to note down their dimensions which can lead to inaccuracies and inconsistencies between users. xDIM ensures consistent and accurate measurements every time, regardless of who operates the system, minimizing human errors and improving data integrity.
- Multi-Mode Dimensioning – xDIM offers four dimensioning modes: Standard and large boxes, irregular items and pallets. The standard version captures box dimensions from 3-inches to 4-feet while the 2-Step method dimensions large boxes up to 8-feet. For irregular items, the ground plane is detected and distinguished between the floor and object being dimensioned. Dimensions are determined via a bounding box outline, which can group multiple objects into one box. xDIM for pallets detects and classifies both cleanly stacked, square payload pallets and non-square payloads up to 8-feet tall and across.
